In a commanding performance at the Yamuna Sports Complex, Delhi, the UP Roarers crushed the South Hurricanes by a massive 122 runs in their YSCL National League 2025 clash played on October 26, 2025.
Batting first after winning the toss, the Roarers posted an imposing total of 186/9 in their allotted 20 overs. The backbone of the innings came from Arunbir Singh, who scored 23 runs, setting the stage for a strong team total. Amar Nath Yadav also contributed a quickfire 29 off 18 balls to boost the scoring rate, while Amit Kohli’s explosive 13 off 2 balls provided crucial late-innings hitting.
Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the Roarers put up a challenging score thanks to timely hitting and disciplined batting, which South Hurricanes struggled to contain.
In reply, the South Hurricanes were bundled out for just 64 runs in 12.5 overs, unable to withstand the Roarers’ potent bowling attack. Rahul Maurya top-scored for the Hurricanes with 29 runs, showing resistance early in the innings, while Madhav_16 added 23 runs in a brief cameo.
The Roarers’ bowlers applied relentless pressure from the outset. Yuvraj Singh Rajput led the attack with an excellent spell, finishing with figures of 4 wickets for just 8 runs, while other bowlers backed him up by keeping the Hurricanes’ middle order in check.
