In a dominant display at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, Surat Catamounts overwhelmed Uttarakhand Eagles, winning by 8 wickets in their YSCL National League 2025 clash on October 26, 2025.
Opting to bowl first, the Catamounts early made inroads as the Eagles’ batting lineup struggled to build momentum. Rohit Patel held the innings together for Uttarakhand with a gritty 19 off 29 balls*, but support was scarce as the hosts were dismissed for just 70 in 14.4 overs.
Abhishek led the Catamounts’ bowling charge with a superb spell, finishing with figures of 5 wickets for just 15 runs, ripping through the Eagles’ middle order. Uttkarsh Singh and Saishav also contributed with tight bowling that put immense pressure on the opposition.
Chasing a modest target, Surat Catamounts made light work of the total, finishing at 66/2 in 9.1 overs. Yuvraj D Vasava played an impactful cameo of 23 runs off 7 balls, while Neeraj remained unbeaten on 24 off 3 balls, guiding his side to a convincing win.
The Catamounts’ comprehensive performance with both ball and bat reaffirms their title ambitions in this season’s league, while the Eagles will look to regroup after a disappointing batting effort.
