Ranchi Tigers Dominate Lords of Punjab in YSCL National League 2025

New Delhi: In a compelling YSCL National League 2025 fixture at the Yamuna Sports Complex, Ranchi Tigers produced a dominant performance to defeat Lords of Punjab by 6 wickets on 28 October 2025.

Batting first, Lords of Punjab posted a modest total of 93 all out in 19.5 overs. The innings struggled for momentum as wickets fell regularly, with only a few batters making noteworthy contributions. Captain Hanumant Rao provided some resistance with a well-timed 34 runs off 47 balls, displaying grit and intent, while Anurag Soni supported with a useful 29 off 54. However, the lack of substantial partnerships meant the Tigers had a manageable target to chase.

In reply, Ranchi Tigers executed a clinical chase. Despite early wickets, their middle order responded with authority to guide the team home comfortably. The Tigers reached the target in just 10.1 overs, riding on an explosive knock by Timanshu Sahu, who struck 19 runs off 5 balls at a blistering strike rate, underlining his ability to score quickly under pressure.

From the bowling perspective, Ranchi Tigers’ attack was incisive and controlled. The standout bowler Timanshu Sahu delivered an exceptional spell, finishing with an economy of 4.00, while Hemanth also played a key role with tidy bowling figures, restricting the run flow and building pressure.

The win marks an important result for Ranchi Tigers, enhancing their confidence and positioning as the YSCL National League progresses. Lords of Punjab, meanwhile, will be looking to regroup and strengthen both batting and bowling departments in their upcoming matches.
