In a competitive YSCL National League 2025 league fixture at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, Royal Haryana registered a solid 5-wicket victory over Maharashtra Panthers, showcasing disciplined bowling and a composed chase.
Batting first after winning the toss, the Panthers posted a challenging total thanks to a crucial 48-run knock from Ishaan Sharma, who led the scoring with aggressive intent and a healthy strike rate of 141.67. Despite early momentum, the Panthers lost regular wickets in the middle overs, which prevented them from setting an imposing score.
In response, Royal Haryana approached the chase with calculated aggression. Surender Negi (Hard Hitter) played a pivotal role with a composed 33-run contribution featuring powerful hitting, anchoring the innings alongside key contributions from Dhruv and Nivarthi. The partnership ensured the run rate remained in check, and the target was achieved with five wickets in hand.
From the bowling perspective, Royal Haryana’s Ramanpreet Singh was economical and incisive, finishing with figures of 4-0-3-1 to stifle the Panthers’ middle order. Meanwhile, the Panthers’ Inderpreet Singh picked up three crucial wickets, but it wasn’t enough to derail the Haryana chase.
This win gives Royal Haryana a valuable boost in the YSCL National League 2025 standings as they look to build momentum heading into the latter stages of the league. Panthers, on the other hand, will be keen to regroup and strengthen both batting and bowling departments ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
