In an exciting YSCL National League 2025 encounter at the Yamuna Sports Complex, Delhi, the UP Roarers registered a narrow 5-run victory over the Surat Catamounts in a closely contested 20-overs match on 25 October 2025.
After winning the toss, the Roarers posted a challenging total on the board, finishing on 126/9 in their allotted 20 overs. The batting efforts saw Amar Nath Yadav lead the charge with a resilient 48 runs off 85 balls, displaying maturity and control in the middle order. Yatharth Kumar also contributed 25 runs, helping his side reach a defendable score. The Roarers’ innings was riddled with run-outs and wickets but they managed to find crucial runs when needed.
In response, Surat Catamounts fought hard but fell short, ending their chase on 125 all out. Yuvraj D Vasava stood out for the Catamounts with a well-played 51 runs off 63 balls, keeping his team in the hunt for much of the chase. Other contributions were limited as the Roarers’ bowling attack applied consistent pressure.
All-rounder Amar Nath Yadav also made a significant impact with the ball, finishing with impressive figures and playing a pivotal role in restricting the opposition. Rihan Khan delivered a key double breakthrough, while the Catamounts’ Abhishek was one of the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets.
