ICC to Finalize Champions Trophy Schedule in Virtual Meeting on November 29

New Delhi, November 26, 2024

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to hold a virtual meeting on November 29 to finalize the schedule for the highly anticipated Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament marks the return of the 50-over event after an eight-year hiatus and is expected to begin in February next year.

The announcement of the schedule has been delayed due to disagreements between the BCCI and PCB. India’s reluctance to play matches in Pakistan has led to discussions about adopting a hybrid hosting model, similar to the Asia Cup 2023, where India’s matches were hosted in Sri Lanka.

This meeting will also precede Jay Shah’s assumption of the ICC Chairman position on December 1. The final decision is eagerly awaited by cricket fans worldwide.
